How long can an adult toy poodle manage overnight without needing to “go”?

Question by confusedgirl: How long can an adult toy poodle manage overnight without needing to “go”?
I am planning to adopt an adult toy poodle. I’ve only had big dogs before, that could easily go 10 hours overnight. Will this be okay with a small dog?

Any reasonably healthy dog of any size should be able to last the night, provided they have been taken out somewhere between 8 and 10PM. You shouldn’t have to worry. If you find that the dog has an odd schedule, go back to crate training and reset it. But this is something any reputable rescue should be able to answer for a potential adopter.

  1. i have a 14 pound dog and she easily can go 12 hours or more ... like if i go to bed at 11 pm she will not go out to pee until at least 11 am the next day (and she could go out any time she wants) ... it is a myth that small dogs have small bladders and because of that have to go often ...
